Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
