Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal.
