Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
