Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Pend Oreille County, Washington. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching You will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line.
