Foundry labourer • Lake County, Minnesota

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Lake County, Minnesota. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
