Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a structural steel site. You will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
