Gas pipe fitter — Highland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Highland County, Virginia. You will be based in a gas distribution network. You should have: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders The role involves: • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Rotating shifts.
