Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Kauai County, Hawaii. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 3+ years on the tools preferred.
