Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Anderson County, South Carolina. The job is at a precast concrete yard. You will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
