Lift maintenance fitter wanted in Polk County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Polk County, Missouri. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. On a typical shift you will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Requirements: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
