Pipe tig welder wanted in Green Lake County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Green Lake County, Wisconsin. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Overtime paid at a premium rate.
