Your main tasks: • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank Ideal candidate: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
