You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
