Vacancy available: we are hiring a cold room technician in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. You will work in an HVAC service company. What we are looking for: • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns Your main tasks: • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
