We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Starr County, Texas. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
