Turning centre operator wanted in Des Moines County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Des Moines County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy machine shop. The role involves set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; load and index turning tools in the turret; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off.
