Brick and block layer • North Tyneside, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in North Tyneside, England. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) You will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
