Immediate opening: stainless steel welder (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Rockdale County, Georgia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium You will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
