Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Gwer East, Benue State. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Part-time with flexible hours.
