Backhoe loader operator — City and Borough of Wakefield

Join our team: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work at a plant hire yard. Day-to-day duties: • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment Ideal candidate: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence Full-time, day shift.
