Precision welder wanted in McLean County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in McLean County, Illinois. You will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
