Now hiring: we are hiring a wood machinist in Macon County, Georgia. The job is at a shopfitting company. The role involves plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw. Ideal candidate: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Own basic hand tools At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
