The role involves: • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly • Remove and refit hub caps and locking wheel nuts • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly • Awareness of workshop health and safety • Punctual and willing to work weekends Rotating shifts.
