Immediate opening: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Hancock County, Georgia. You will work in a busy laundry. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Day-to-day duties: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Full-time, day shift.
