Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Vermillion County, Indiana. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Part-time with flexible hours.
