Gas metal arc welder — Adams County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Adams County, Idaho. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Your main tasks: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Willing to work shifts and overtime 4+ years on the tools preferred.
