Metal caster — Trego County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Trego County, Kansas. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
