We are recruiting: rebar installer (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar installer in Wayne County, Illinois. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
