Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Elbert County, Georgia. The job is at a high-rise construction project. On the job you will handle: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
