Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Benton County, Minnesota. Day to day you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE 6+ years on the tools preferred.
