Now hiring: we are hiring a wood machinist in Jefferson County, Nebraska. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers The role involves finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
