Great opportunity: argon welder (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Clayton County, Georgia. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium We offer $190 per day plus benefits.
