Now hiring: earthmoving equipment operator (Alaska)

Join our team: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will work in a demolition and site-clearance yard. What we are looking for: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances Your main tasks: • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage Performance bonus on top of base pay.
