Great opportunity: gas pipe fitter (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Keweenaw County, Michigan. Day to day you will check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. You should have: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings Full-time, day shift.
