Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Montgomery County, New York. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Your main tasks: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
