Urgent requirement: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Yates County, New York. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage The role involves: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins Six days a week, one day off.
