Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Ontario County, New York. The role involves: • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication Requirements: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
