We are recruiting: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Jay County, Indiana. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Day to day you will test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; run load and overload tests with test weights; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork. Ideal candidate: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
