The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Part-time with flexible hours.
