Aluminium TIG welder • Yakima County, Washington

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Yakima County, Washington. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
