Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Cardiff, Wales. You will be based at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces The role involves: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
