We are recruiting: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Your main tasks: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams Requirements: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Current medical and eyesight certificate • A good head for heights for tower crane work 2+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
