Great opportunity: shuttering fixer (California)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Los Angeles County, California. You will be based on a busy high-rise construction site. On the job you will handle: • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement Requirements: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
