We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Winneshiek County, Iowa. You will work at a textile finishing unit. On the job you will handle: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
