The role involves cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter; check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away; apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas; match the tile pattern and coursing across the walls; lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level; fit tile spacers to keep the grout joints even. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for kneeling, bending and lifting tile boxes • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
