Argon arc welder — Essex County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Essex County, New York. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
