Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Vermilion County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
