Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Sanpete County, Utah. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Day-to-day duties: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Six days a week, one day off.
