We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Schley County, Georgia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Rotating shifts.
