Stamping press operator — Newcastle upon Tyne

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. You will be based in a sheet metal stamping unit. You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges On a typical shift you will clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around £1,950 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
